Kindle e-Book Reader
The Pragyata Learning Resource Center offers the Kindle eBook Reader Lending Service, which is thoughtfully designed to promote a seamless, paperless reading environment. The device includes a Kindle Unlimited eBook subscription, offering a vast library of titles in various genres, from fiction and nonfiction to educational resources. This initiative encourages the community to explore new authors without the confinement of physical books. Whether a casual reader or a book lover, the Kindle eBook Reader Lending Service enhances your reading experience. Guidelines:
- All faculty members, students, research scholars, and staff can borrow Kindle e-book readers.
- Before borrowing the Kindle e-reader, the user should ensure that it is functioning properly.
- One user can borrow only one Kindle at a time.
- Changing the content or settings on Kindle eReader is not allowed.
- Users are unable to download books onto Kindle; only materials from the Library's approved source will be preloaded and made available for use.
- Copying content from the Kindle to other devices is prohibited. Users are also not allowed to delete existing content.
- Users are prohibited from linking the Kindle device to other devices, engaging with social media platforms, or sharing content online.
- Please return the device with a charged battery and all components of the kit for check-in.
- The user will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the Kindle in the event of any damage or loss (of any part of the Kindle) while it is being checked.
- If the audio feature of Kindle books is used in the LRC, users should wear headphones to avoid disturbing others.
- The Kindle e-reader can only be borrowed and returned in person.
- Users can also utilize Kindles as reference tools in library sections.
- Signing the borrower agreement is mandatory for the user who borrows a Kindle e-reader.
- Users who violate the rules are liable to pay overdue charges.
Loan Rules:
- Loan Period: 07 days
- Renewal: Once for 7 Days
- Restriction: 1 Kindle per Borrower
Fines:
- The overdue fine for a Kindle Paperwhite is Rs.5/- per day.
- Damage and Replacement Charges
- If a Kindle Paperwhite is misplaced or damaged, the individual who borrowed it must cover the total replacement expense. This includes the cost of the device itself.
- Replacement cost will be based on the model and the current price of the device. (If the product is unavailable, an equivalent model will be purchased.)
